Constructed in 2001, this 1.2 MGD extended aeration wastewater treatment plant serves the City of Freeport on Grand Bahamas Island.  The process includes influent screening, extended aeration, clarification, effluent storage, aerobic digestion, vacuum assisted sludge drying bed, tertiary disc filter, and effluent pump station.  Grand Bahamas Utility sells the treated effluent for reuse to the nearby world class Reef Village Golf Course.
